BwB's Leadership Committees

BwB's Leadership Committees provide an opportunity for business professionals to lend valuable volunteer and fundraising support to BwB. The help raise funds, plan and run events, and work hands-on with BwB members.

Currently, there is a very active Leadership Committee in Chicago, the CLC (see below). BwB is forming another Leadership Committee in Philadelphia. If you are interested in information about the PLC, please contact Olanike Akanbi, Pennsylvania Program Supervisor, at (215) 772-2917 or oakanbi@buildingwithbooks.org.

About the Chicago Leadership Committee

The BwB Chicago Leadership Committee (CLC) is looking for dedicated people who want to help us change lives, one child and one village at a time.

The BwB CLC was founded by a group of inspired individuals who became interested in Building with Books' work after attending the annual Chicago "Partnership for Hope" fundraising breakfast in May 2006.

The CLC is a unique assembly of professionals and volunteers in the Chicagoland area who work to provide financial stability and volunteer support to this important organization.

  • Support Building with Books programs and services through fundraising events and networking opportunities.
