From building schools to implementing Community Education Programs to empower communities to help themselves, Building with Books is actively, profoundly and productively involved in rural villages throughout six developing countries around the world.

Current BwB Countries
From landlocked expanses of sub-Saharan Mali to the towering terrain of Nepal, BwB currently counts more than 285 schools constructed in developing countries around the world – with many more on the way. Past BwB Countries
BwB has also worked with communities in the following countries to build much-needed schools for their children:
- Bolivia: 8 schools built between 1993-2000
- Brazil: 2 schools built between 1993-1996
- India: 3 schools built between 1999-2006
- U.S.A.: 1 school built in Taos Pueblo, New Mexico, in 2001
