Effie Luong
Finance Manager, International Programs
In 2005, Effie Luong joined BwB as a part-time Financial Analyst for BwB's International Programs, becoming full-time before the end of the year. Since then, she has been responsible for the various aspects of accounting and financial operations for International Programs including the supervision of finance officers based in the countries where BwB works. In 2006, she was promoted to Finance Manager, International Programs.
Before joining BwB, Effie was Director of Finance and Administration at Community and Family Services International (CFSI), a non-profit organization based in South East Asia. Funded primarily by the World Bank and the U.N. High Commissioner for Refugees, CFSI provides humanitarian and social development work in Myanmar, Indonesia and other parts of Asia. She has also worked as an auditor and in the tax division of a banking institution.
Effie holds a CPA license from the Philippines and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Accountancy from the University of the Philippines.
